DESIGNING OUT
The indoor / outdoor idea began with the architecture — the interior and exterior spaces share high ceilings and identical fireplaces. A continuous floor plane (i.e., the same level from outer deck to interior) and the emphasis on large window space help the indoor / outdoor transition flow easily through the property.

At the M house an open-on-three-sides connects to an interior living room, where large windows offer long views of the surrounding landscape.
